Surgical treatment is a great option for people who want to find a permanent solution for hair loss. All of the surgeries we perform are in our office under the direction of experts and a local anesthetic. The length of the surgery will depend on what results you want to achieve and the number of grafts you decide to have transplanted. The two surgical procedures we use are:

  • Follicular unit transplantation (FUT) is often referred to as the “strip technique” because it uses follicles from a strip of scalp harvested from the back of your head to supplement the follicles that are not working correctly.
  • Follicular unit extraction is a process where follicles are individually harvested from the back and sides of the scalp and implant them into the desired areas (typically the front and top of the scalp).
