Reconstructive History

The First World War was the first major event that really relied on the dedication of surgeons and gave doctors a chance to gain experience in and perfect reconstructive surgical procedures, leading to advancements in cosmetic surgery. Subsequent catastrophes led to subsequent improvements which then served as the root for even further advancements.
