Update May 4, 2020

Dear Barr Aesthetic Clients,
We have missed your faces and hope that you and your family have remained healthy during this unprecedented time. With updated guidelines provided by the medical authorities, we are grateful to announce that we will be opening our doors again Monday May 4th! Thank you for your continued trust in our practice. Please be assured that the staff at Barr Aesthetics have always followed or exceeded state and federal regulations regarding recommended universal personal protection and disinfection protocols to limit transmission of all diseases in our office. We continue to do so and are taking additional preventive measures targeted to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We also wanted to take this opportunity to review some changes in our office protocol designed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • You will be encouraged to bring your own mask to your appointment. Your provider will also be wearing a mask.
  • Any family or friends will be asked to remain in the car.
  • We will be spacing visits to accommodate adequate time for increased disinfection measures and the ability to honor social distancing in the hallways and the front desk area. We will not be able to accommodate any add on treatments during this time.
  • Where necessary, we will be asking you to wait at the door prior to being brought to a treatment room in order to honor social distancing.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the front desk.
  • We will be taking your temperature prior to bringing you to a treatment room.
  • Supplemental COVID-19 consent will be requested prior to treatment. If you prefer, you can sign the attached document and bring it to your appointment

We will be reaching out to you personally to get you back on the schedule and to review our enhanced precautions. We will be asking you to make us aware if you have any symptoms listed here:

  • Fever (>100 F) within the last 48 hours.
  • Cough or shortness of breath.
  • History or travel
  • Any other signs of illness within 24 hours
  • Age >70 or immunosuppression

Thank you each for your patience and understanding during these difficult times. We have been working hard at Barr Aesthetics to stay abreast of all safety protocols and procedures. Please know that your health and wellness have always been our priority. We are so excited to see you again!

Update April 9, 2020

As we continue to navigate our way through this unprecedented time, we have made the difficult decision that we will be unable to move forward with our tentative reopen date of Monday April 13, 2020. If you have a scheduled appointment, please do not come to your appointment. We have set our reminder text to say “Barr Aesthetics is closed to aid in reducing COVID-19 spread. We will reach out to you to reschedule upon our return.”

Once we feel that it is safe for our staff to come in and have a better idea of when we can reopen, we will be doing our best to reach out to you individually to get you rescheduled.

When we reopen, reminder texts will resume with the confirmation option.

As the numbers of COVID-19 cases continue to escalate and based on the recommendation of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and the American Medical Association, the Barr Aesthetic team has made the decision to temporarily close our office Wednesday March 25, 2020 with a tentative reopen date of Monday April 13, 2020.

While there have been NO suspected exposures in our office, the approach that we are taking is with much consideration with regards to the health of our community given that asymptomatic individuals may transmit the virus unknowingly to others. By being proactive, we are decreasing unnecessary opportunities for the transmission which is key to reducing the spread of the disease.

Please note that if you have an appointment scheduled before Monday April 13th do not come to your appointment; we will be doing our best to reach out to each of you to help you get rescheduled. We recognize that this is a rapidly evolving situation and as our anticipated re-opening date approaches, we will be reaching out again.
