Do I Need a Brow Lift?
Do you see…
- A sagging brow line?
- Wrinkles across your forehead or between your brows?
- A heavy or tired-looking appearance in your upper face?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, a brow lift could be a good option for you. A brow lift raises the eyebrows, smooths out forehead lines, and can give your face a more alert and youthful look.
Do I Need an Eyelid Lift?
Do you see…
- Excess skin on your upper eyelids?
- Puffiness under your eyes?
- A feeling of heaviness in your eyelids?
If so, an eyelid lift or blepharoplasty may be the solution. An eyelid lift removes excess skin and fat, reduces puffiness, and can make your eyes look brighter and more open.
How Much Do Forehead Lifts Cost?
The estimated average cost of a forehead lift is between $2,500 and $19,000. This price varies based on whether you opt for just the brow lift, just the eyelid lift, or combine the two. Additionally, the cost varies if you opt for both an upper and lower eyelid lift. Let’s discuss your options at a consultation.
Is a Brow or Eyelid Lift Covered by Insurance?
It is not guaranteed that insurance will cover a brow or eyelid lift procedure. However, droopy eyelids that interfere with vision may be eligible for coverage. Please discuss your options with your insurance provider.
What’s the Brow Lift Procedure Like?
During the brow lift surgery consultation, Dr. Barr will examine your facial structure, the condition of your skin, and your hairline in order to decide which specific cosmetic surgery technique to use. The main difference among the various options for forehead lifting consists of the placement of the incision. Typically, Dr. Barr prefers to use an endoscopic technique. With this technique, small incisions are hidden behind the hairline and an endoscope is used to perform the surgery through these small incisions. During the procedure, Dr. Barr operates on the muscles that can cause frown lines, tightens loose skin, and lifts and reshapes drooping brows to provide a more youthful appearance.
What’s the Eye Lift Procedure Like?
Not infrequently, a brow lift is combined with blepharoplasty (an eyelid lift) or facelift surgery to provide a harmonious rejuvenation. The upper eyelid lift removes a precise amount of muscle, fat, and upper eyelid skin. Dr. Barr designs the incisions so that they lie imperceptibly in your natural lid fold. The result is a brighter, fresh appearance.
Lower blepharoplasty addresses lower eyelid bags. Dr. Barr hides the incision underneath the eyelid or just beneath the lash line. Fat and or muscle are meticulously removed or resuspended to provide a firmer, more youthful-appearing lower lid.
Blepharoplasty does not alter the “crows feet,” or wrinkles on the sides of the eyes. Those are best addressed with skin resurfacing or Botox. Though blepharoplasty is often performed as a single procedure, consultation with Dr. Barr can help you determine whether complementary surgery would increase the success of surgery.
What’s Recovery Like for Brow and Eyelid Lifts?
You will most likely experience bruising and swelling following a brow and/or eyelid lift procedure. Post-op, your eyes may feel dry, itchy, and watery. You may experience some redness in your eyes and discomfort as your eyes and brow heal. Plan to have someone drive you home from the procedure. It can take up to two weeks for clients to feel ready to return to work or other public activities after a forehead lift.
Swelling may remain for up to three weeks post-op, but keeping your head elevated and using cold compresses can reduce help. You’ll be given specific post-op instructions to follow after your procedure, which may include details for keeping the surgical site clean and how to manage pain.

I've never looked this good. Highly recommend!Posted on Alexandra ParisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently got lip filler done by Chase at Barr Aesthetics. I came in pretty nervous, as lips are often said to be a painful injectable spot. Chase assured me that his technique would not be painful, and he was right! Even without numbing, I was virtually in no pain at all. I would say a 2/10 at most! I had next to no swelling and bruising the following days. I am super super impressed and absolutely love my results! I could not recommend Chase more. My experience was easy, painless, and overall very positive!
